Movie Reviews

Hi all!

Well until I learn how to add tabs and more details to my blog I thought I'd just do a regular post to review some movies I've seen lately. I'll rate the movies from 1-5 stars, with 5 being the highest rating.

Roommate ~ 3 Stars

This movie was very predictable, yet still good. I love scary movies and this one definitely had it's moments. This movie is basically about a girl who starts college and has a questionable roommate.

Dinner for Schmucks ~ 3 stars

This movie was funny, although not as much as I had expected. Steve Carrell is funny although it's almost in an annoying type of way. Also the "dinner" part of the movie is only about the last 20 minutes of the movie.

Case 39 ~ 4 1/2 stars

I didn't remember much about this movie when I rented it from Redbox, it just looked scary so I got it. :) I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. This movie stars Renee Zellwegger and Bradley Cooper. Renee works for child services and Bradley is a therapist for kiddos. Renee ends up fostering a child who appears to have been harmed by her parents....but you soon find out there's more to the story. Definitely a good thriller movie.

No Strings Attached ~ 4 1/2 stars

This movie stars Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher. This is a very predictable movie but I still really enjoyed it. Natalie and Ashton start off as just "friends with benefits" but it turns into more. This movie also had some great funny moments. I'd definitely recommend seeing this one.

The Rundown ~ 3 stars

This movie stars Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) and Sean Williams Scott. I actually watched this one on ABC Family one night. Dwayne Johnson is pretty much a bounty hunter in this movie. He has been paid to hunt down Sean for his father, but things turn crazy when he finds Sean in the jungle. This is a decent movie to watch when nothing else is on.

Killers ~ 5 stars

This movie stars Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl. Ashton and Katherine's characters meet in France. Ashton is a hitman and Katherine has no idea. Once the two get married Ashton got out of the hitman business, or so he thought.... Very funny movie and great story. I really enjoyed this one!

Devil ~ 4 stars

I was plesantly surprised by this movie. In this movie there are five people stuck in an elevator. As the movie goes on you learn more about each character and why they are all in there together. Very much had a SAW type of feel to it although not as brutal or gross. This movie had it's scary on the edge of your seat moments. I enjoyed this one!

Hereafter ~ 2 stars

This movie is a very slow movie. It is paritally in subtitles. This movie is about three different sets of people and what they believe happens after you die. Interesting movie but didn't keep my attention very well.

That's all for now. I'm sure I'll have many more movies as the summer goes on. :)

Summer Break!

Hi everyone!
Well I haven't done so well updating my blog lately huh? Hopefully now that it's summer break I will do better!

My summer is off to a great start!
My husband, myself, and our friend Chris all took a trip to Destin, Florida at the beginning of June. It was a huge difference from when we went last year at the beginning of August. This year the weather was VERY comfortable, although a little cloudy. The resort wasn't crowded which was great. We really enjoyed our relaxing and MUCH NEEDED break.

When we returned from our vacation I visited Kristin at her house up in Cottontown. While we were gone on our trip she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Riley Jade. She is absolutely precious! I really enjoyed getting to meet her and was even more excited she stayed awake for me! :)

I also got to spend some time with my bestie, Meagan! She drove down from Cookeville to spend the day with me. We were supposed to have a pool day but due to rainy weather we went shopping instead, which is just as fun! We then rented some movies and had a lazy night at my house.

I got to have lunch with Tara, a teacher at my school, and her daughter Claire before they moved up north. It was a great lunch and she will be greatly missed next year!

I have noticed so far this summer that I have been watching TONS of movies! I plan on adding some sort of tab (when I learn how to) so I can review the movies I've seen. If anyone knows how to add a tab let me know please. Thanks!

I am really excited my hubby is off work all weekend. I made our yearbook at school this year and received my yearbook pay recently. I planned on putting it towards a new laptop. I love my Gateway I have now but it is just so slow and really needs to be updated. On Friday, my hubby and I will be going laptop shopping. I've looked into getting a Mac, possibly, but not positive. Hopefully we can find something good!

Well I guess this is all for now. I'll update this weekend, hopefully with my new laptop!
